I have been planning to create my own special chapter for a few months now, after seeing the amazing chapters that other bloggers have created, and then my dad getting his own marines I just couldent hold back any longer.
I began to experiment on colour schemes, after deciding on a dark red and white I pulled out my scetch book and began to design banners and shoulder pad heraldry. I designed five banners and four shoulder pads but found that the original ideas were the best.
like every chapter, the sons of kryptman needed a chapter master so I quikley set to work on him. As he would set the mood for my army I did him first. I used the Games Day 08 model as the chapter master but in true games workshop tradition I began a little conversion work! I used the body and head from the chapter master an took the rest from other kits: the arms came from the sandard tactical marine kit and I converted the hammer into a twin bladed spear by putting the end of the lizerdmen spears on ether end, I then used a jump pack kindly donated by a friend and used green stuff for the designs. the shield was made of plasticard and I then made the designs from green stuff again.
